Ronald Dexter Obituary

Ron was born in Plant City, Florida, to the Late Edward and Helen Dexter, on May 17, 1958.  The fourth of eight children.  Ron was baptized at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church in Bealsville, Florida, where he was a member.  Ron was a loving and devoted grandfather.  Giving, loving and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone.  Not only did he take time visiting the elders in the community, he also loved family; family was everything to him.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews from an early age.

Ron attended Hillsborough County public schools and graduated from Plant City High School with the Class of 1976.  He attended Grambling State University, where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting.  He was also the founder of the "Florida Funkateers" on Grambling's campus.  He prided himself on being an honor student, from elementary school all the way through college.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Edward Dexter, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He leaves memories to be cherished by his one and only daughter Sharone Bostick (Chris); Grandchildren: Christopher Jr. and Salaya; His brothers: Edward (Frances), Reginal (Grace) and Glenn; His sisters: Donna Fay (Walter), Tanya Gail (Joseph), Delilah, Glenda and Youlonda (Nick); Aunts: Vera Spencer, Mary Ann Sherman and Knazilee Dexter; Uncle: Barnswell Dexter; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends WHO ALL LOVED HIM.  Special acknowledgements to his Poker Crew.
