Adrienne Young Obituary

Adrienne Denise Young was born in Plant City, Florida, at South Florida Baptist Hospital, to the late Ernest Young, Sr. and Johnnie Ruth Young, on January 24, 1966.  Known as "Niecy", Adrienne attended Lakeland Senior High School.  She was a loving and caring mother.  Her life of compassionate service was extended beyond her household as she served as the caregiver for her grandmother and her son.

She was employed at Dart Containers in Plant City, Florida for 12 years.  She was a strong and protective mother, who was big on respect.  She was softspoken, even if she was angry.  She loved old school music and jazz.  Niecy would normally cook every day of the week.

Adrienne put her heart into helping take care of her grandmother, Mary Walker.  She was very patient, but she said what she meant and meant what she said, respectfully.  Niecy had a passion for helping maintain and decorate the graves of loved ones.  She would normally do this on holidays.  As a child, Niecy would take a lot of trips with her siblings, they always had so much fun.  She had a special Aunt, Linda Hobdy, that she could always confide in.

Adrienne was preceded in death by: Her loving partner of more that 40 years, Charles Abrams, Jr.; father, Ernest Young Sr.; grandparents, Maggie Young and John Young; grandchild, Kenyatta McCray; Uncles, Robert Lee Mitchell, Novel Burns, Robert Lee Davenport, Curtis Davenport and Curtis Young; and aunt, Diane Efford.

Adrienne leaves to cherish her memory: Mother, Johnnie Ruth Young; Grandmother, Mary Walker; siblings, Ernest Young, Jr. (Pokie), Patrice Lynnette Young and LaTonya Michelle Chapman; children, Charles Abrams III (lil Duke), Dolmesha DeShone Abrams, Capricia Denise Abrams (Weedie); a niece who was like a daughter, Anquiette Fantaisa Martin, and special cousin, Genevieve Peaker; grandchildren, Demetrius Brunson, Preston Smith, Wila'zha Cohen, Kimora Bridges, Damararri McGary, Ja'niya Dixon, Za'niyah Dixon, Jaquan Dixon, Keylan Burgess, Jr. and Charlee Abrams; great grandchild, Kales Smith; aunts, Louise (Lois) Peaker, Barbara Young, Betty young, Claudia Broadnax and Ethel Fleming; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
